Fresh Kenshin“女性のフレッシュ健診“, a health checkup for women aged 18 to 39, hosted by Sapporo City each year, is held throughout the year. Checkups are by appointment only.

General health checkups will examine:

  • Body measurement (height, weight, and body-fat percentage)
  • Blood pressure
  • Urinalysis
  • Blood tests (anemia, liver function, lipid, glucose, kidney function, and uric acid)
  • Bone density
  • Auscultation (listening to the heart, lungs, etc.)
  • Physical
  • Ultrasound osteoporosis screening *Osteoporosis test results will be reviewed on site.

General checkup results will be mailed via surface mail.

Parents can bring along their children.
Checkups are held every Tuesday from 8:30 a.m. to 12 noon. Reception will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.
There is space for 30 applicants per Tuesday. Each appointment will last about 1 and a half hours.
Checkups take place at the Central Health Promotion Center at West 11 South 3, Chuo-ku.
This service is only available to women between the ages of 18 and 39 who live or work in Sapporo City.

The basic checkup and osteoporosis screening will cost ¥2,000. Extra charges may apply for extra screenings such as HbA1c test, blood type test, a blood test used to classify and determine the level of susceptibility to gastric cancer, posture check by a physical therapist, Inbody measurement, and resting electrocardiogram.

This medical checkup is offered throughout the year. Appointments for a month are made in the preceding month. Please make an appointment through the website by the 19th of the month before the month for which you wish to have the checkup. After the 20th of the previous month, appointments can only be accepted by calling. All appointments are on a first-come-first-served basis.
